Marion Murphy, who lives on Trout River Road, held the winning five dollar ticket in the Stanley Bridge Memorial Society’s (SBMS) recent raffle. Her basket of gifts, presented to her by SBMS representative Buddy MacEwen on Dec 12, was worth more than $200. Raffle tickets were sold at the Sterling Women’s Institute Christmas Craft Show on Nov 30. Money from the raffle will help pay for needed renovations to the former Stanley Bridge United Church.
